Hello! In this article I will show you everything I know about Protection Warrior PvE.
As a tank, your main goal is to keep agro and withstand greater damage.
1. We'll start with talents. I use this build 15/5/51.
I think this is the optimal build a tank in Icecrown Citadel.
2. Glyphs
For tank best option is as follows:
Major Glyph:
Glyph of Vigilance - Gives you 5% of the agro player which you put the buff on(I put a Warrior, Paladin, Mage classes that make the most agro). It is especially useful when there is no hunter.
Glyph of Blocking - Gives you 10% block value = more damage to shield slam = more agro.
Glyph of Revenge - After each attack with Revenge, you can make Heroic Strike without Rage costing. I recommend this macro:
/ Castsequence reset = 5 Revenge, Heroic Strike
Minor Glyph:
Glyph of Command - Provides 2 minutes more on Commanding Shout.
Glyph of Battle - Provides 2 minutes more on Battle Shout.
Glyph of Bloodrage - When you use Bloodrage, no health is lost.
3. Gems
We all know that most of Icecrown Citadel bosses do spell dmg that can not be stopped except with much health, so you need a lot of gems with stamina.
Socketing a lot depends on the gear, you need 590 defense. Mainly put gems with 30 stamina, but if you dont have the defense cap - 590, use 15 stamina 10 defense rating on the yellow slots. For meta recommend +21 defense rating +5% Shield Block Value, for this purpose put 2 gems with 10 parry rating 15 stamina.
4. Enchants
Head Enchant - 37 stamina and 20 defense rating
Shoulder Enchant - if you dont have inscription, I recommend using the PvP Enchant 30 stamina and 15 resilience rating
Cloak - 16 defense rating.
Chest - 10 All Stats.
Bracers - 40 stamina.
Gloves - 2% Treath and 10 parry rating.
Legs - 55 stamina and 22 agility.
Boots - 22 stamina.
Weapon - Blade Ward.
Shiled - 20 defense rating.

6. Rotation:
It is very important what you do when starting fight. I recommend the following rotation:
1 - Mocking Blow - Always start with this, you have a 6 seconds to gain enough aggro the boss.
2 - Shield Block immediately after Shield Slam - This helps to gain 100% agro on the boss.
3 - Shockwave.
4 - Rend.
5 - 5xDevistate - armor decrease 20% of the boss'armor.
When you do these steps Aggro is 100% yours.
It is very important to have 4/5 Tier 10.5 which gives a bonus set. 20% of your health as absorbtion effect when Bloodrage activated ( this mean you have an absorbtion effect every 1 minute ).
